I'm Moving! + Home Interior Inspiration

I’m moving! I am so happy. I’ve only been living with my parents again since January, but it’s been a long three weeks!

Home Interior Inspiration

Over the years, I’ve moved a lot, from one place to another, in multiple cities and even to a different country. But now I’m back and I decided it’s time to stay a bit longer in the same place. So I started to look around and found a small shared apartment that I can live in for a while.

What I like about moving is getting to know a different city. Finding nice spots to go to, little shops and stores that you wouldn’t see if you were just there for the day and getting to know the different kinds of people. But what I love about moving is decorating!

Really, an entire empty, new space that I can fill, design, and decorate as I want. I love interiors and over the years I’ve hoarded loads of different items and pieces for my house. And now I get to do it all over again.

Of course, I’m going to mix some old pieces with new items, it would be a waste to just buy everything new again. But my style has changed since the last time I moved so I know this time it’s going to be completely different. To help me find some inspiration on how to style everything best, I’ve been looking around on Pinterest, and decided to share my finds and ideas!

Of course, I can’t share every single pin I liked in this blog post, so give my Pinterest a follow if you would like to see more!

What I’m currently really into is… pink! What a surprise, right?! I love pink shades mixed with white and bamboo/light wood. To me, it gives a cosy and warm feeling while still looking clean and fresh.

For my dining area, I’ve fallen in love with the idea of a bamboo table with white legs and pink chairs. I think this will look so great in the space I’ll have!

When I saw the Lerhamn table from Ikea, I knew I had to have something like that. I love how it’s so simple, but still a little bit different from a usual, one colour table. I still have some white, wooden chairs that I think will look lovely with this table, it’s going to look so clean and fresh. And to add some pink, I will probably have two pink chairs as well as the pink H&M cushions on the white chairs.

As I’m just on my own right now and will have space for four on this table, I will probably have some flowers on the table or a nice statement table lamp, maybe some candles as you can never go wrong with those. This will make the table look a bit more lived and full instead of being empty most of the time.

I also love the red/brownish colour in combination with the pink, white and bamboo/light wood, and might want to add a bit more of that one in my living room as the dining area and living room are in the same space. But I will share more about that later.

I can’t wait to get decorating and to see what the end result will look like!
